Thought I would share an update on the patio veggie patch.  Salad is on the way!

You Can Have the Best of Both Worlds

You can have the best of both worlds - flowers and veg.  Whether it's a designated perennial bed blooming every year in profusion, or annuals tucked in between your veggies, you will benefit.
You will enjoy the beauty and the pollinators will approve and show you an increase in yields.

My mother always had flowers.  They were her first love in the garden, followed closely by homegrown tomatoes.  Enjoy!

Zucchini is Blooming!

Zucchini is blooming!  That's progress.  Hopefully, these plants will provide enough zucchini for summer salads.

So glad these little ones made it.  A robin lays her eggs on this stored ladder every year.  I think the raccoon got them last year.  Tenacity!

Container Gardening

We'll be doing a lot of container gardening this year, because we don't have much time.  Here we have lettuce coming up in self watering containers.

Blueberry

Transplanted this blueberry plant from the garden into a clay pot.  Let's see how he does.  I will need to cover the berries as they develop to save them from the birds.
